Windows 11 will get one major update every year: Microsoft

Microsoft unveiled its new Windows 11 operating system today. After the presentation, the documentation was released, revealing interesting details.

For example, the minimum system requirements for a PC to install Windows 11. In addition, Microsoft announced a change in the frequency of major Windows updates.

Microsoft plans to release only one functional update to Windows 11 each year. Releases are planned for the second half of each calendar year.

In addition to one annual feature update, Windows 11 devices will receive regular monthly quality updates to improve security and fix bugs.
