On the YouTube channel Atnarr Tech published a video in which they show us the Huawei Mate 40 Pro smartphone with the beta version of the HarmonyOS 2.0 operating system installed.
The author of the video showed how the updated Huawei Mate 40 Pro running HarmonyOS 2.0 works seamlessly with all Google apps. Users who have tried out HarmonyOS 2.0 confirm that smartphones, in particular the Huawei Mate 40 Pro, run faster and smoother than running EMUI 11 based on Android 11.
A video was previously posted on the same channel showing the improved capabilities of the HarmonyOS operating system while working on the Huawei MatePad Pro tablet and the Huawei Mate X2 smartphone.
The HarmonyOS 2.0 developer testing program is currently ongoing. According to Wang Chenglu, president of Huawei’s consumer device software division, the company plans to begin mass distribution of the update this June.
Huawei previously stated that full development of HarmonyOS began in May 2016, which means that the operating system has actually been created over the past five years.
