Due to Huawei ban, iPhone 13 series will increase Apple’s smartphone market share

Famed TF International analyst Ming Chi-Kuo expects large iPhone shipments in 2021 and further growth in 2022.

Kuo predicts that after 195 million phones shipped last year, Apple will ship 230-240 million this year (+ 23%) and 250-260 million in 2022. In the second half of this year, Apple will increase its share of the high-end smartphone market thanks to “feature updates and US sanctions imposed on Huawei.”

An analyst at TF International says Apple will ship 88 million devices in the second half of this year. That’s 17.3% more than the 75 million iPhones that Apple shipped in the second half of 2020.

Apple plans to add ProMotion displays to the iPhone 13 Pro with variable refresh rates up to 120Hz, Apple’s A15 Bionic SoC, improved cameras with new sensor-shift image stabilization, and reduced bangs.

According to the latest data, the new line will be launched into mass production in late August or early September this year, and sales will begin on September 14th.
