Srinagar, Jul 11 ​​(GNS): A 21-year-old boy has drowned in nallah Sindh in Kangan area in central-Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Sunday afternoon.

Reports reaching GNS said that one Suhail Ahmad Mir son Nazir Ahmad Mir, a resident of Neel Najwan had gone to take bath in the nallah, at the site adjacent to dumping park, in Kangan. The boy soon after venturing into the waters went out of sight, prompting those accompanying him to raise a hue and cry.

Upon intimation, an SDRF team assisted by a local police party and residents in the area launched a rescue operation to trace the youth. However no clue of the drowned boy has been found on filing of this report.

Pertinent to mention here that a three-year-old girl died after drowning in a native stream at Thez Wudder area in central Kashmir’s Budgam district. (GNS)
